Four Arrows

This story begins with four siblings, Selim, Aysel, Azhar and Mavi, each of them linked to a Cardinal Point by an arrow and, in turn, to one of the Four Elements.
______ _
They traveled helping anyone in need with their gifts. But one day, something unexpected happened. Azhar’s arrow began to glow very brightly and suddenly went out. Azhar's presence had disappeared. Selim, the oldest brother, guarding the arrows that marked the location of each sibling, realized what happened and decided to gather the rest of them to go in search of Azhar. It didn't take far for rumors to reach their ears. Recently, in a nearby forest, a new tree had appeared after a flash of green light. Tall and majestic. But, when they arrived at where it was, siblings were petrified. Beneath the bark of that tree, as if carved into it, was Azhar, with a message at her feet:
______ _
They tried to destroy me but they couldn't,
so now I need your help my brave siblings.
My soul has been split into four parts,
so now you must go in search of each one,
in order to bring me back to life.
My body returned to the Earth
my shadow gives shelter to the light,
my tears are shed in storms
and my scent hides behind the Wind.
______ _
Selim knelt before the wooden figure, where a piece of cloth rested, imprisoned by an arrow. It was a part of Azhar's dress, so he tied it around his wrist and turned to his siblings. Together they took the decision to travel around the world looking for the parts needed to bring their sister back to life, and discover what happened. This is why they roam around the world as merchants now, while they get everything it takes to return Azhar to this world. And so, every four years they reunite at the Tree’s West base where their sister rests, and together offer the shadow, the tears and the scent that they hope they will bring her back one day.
