Anrei

A legend tells the story of a forest inhabited by its own personification. It tells how the light of the moon and the raindrops give shape to a nocturnal spirit that is in charge of taking lost souls to the depths of the forest to feed on them.

Its name is believed to be Anrei, "dark spirit." It appears and disappears every so often on a trail of lost people.

The few survivors affirm that it is taller than an adult human, it shines like the moon and moves like water. And the sound that follows it is of the rain itself.

This creature detects its prey by the noise they make when walking through the forest. It is believed that the Anrei waits for its prey hidden in the undergrowth during rainy nights.
